We received 7 problems and 1 version from the tournament director in an anonymous form. As we know, there is never too much good.
No 2 (Kb7-Kc5) was excluded because there are only 2 thematic themes: Grimshaw and Nowotny.
We thank all participants and wish them to use the experience with this award for successful inclusion in their next compositions.

The complete synthesis of three algebraic themes in six phases: Pseudo le Grand (CbB/BcC), Dombrovskis (Aa!-Bb!/aA-bB), and Barnes (AB/A/B/aAbB) – with the very interesting motivation of defences (for example, self-blocks in the try 1.B:d7?). A bonus is a three-phase "spiral" of two unchanged variations.

This composition consists of 7 phases (included set-play) with 4 announced themes: Barnes (CD), Dombrovskis (dCD), le Grand (CdD) and radical change Z-32-66 (abAB/dfDI/eiJG). Additionally: Rukhlis, flight-giving key. The overall quality of the content is greatly reduced due to parasitic non-thematic threats in the try 1.Sxf3? Similar to No 6.

Synthesis of algebraic themes in four phases: Salazar (AC), pseudo-Erokhin (BC), pseudo le Grand (BaC/CbB), Dombrovskis effect 1x (aC), change of mate as Zagoruiko 4x1. Added Urania (C), key-threat reversal (CD), battery, pinning – but the repeated refutation 1...Bb7!

1...Qxb3 (f) 2.Sxf5# (F)
1...fxe4 (g) 2.Qxe4# (G)
Themes Barnes, Dombrovskis and le Grand, a radical change, flight-giving key – but repeated mate (F) in the solution as well as unwelcome three threats in the first of four phases. Very similar to No 7.

Commendation - No 3, Anatoly Slesarenko (Russia) 1n6/1Q2pN2/1pn3B1/1PP4r/Rp1k3r/1pR1N2p/1P2P3/2K5

1.Qxb6? – 2.Rd3# (A), 1...Rxc5 (a) 2.Qxc5# (C), 1...Se5 (b) 2.c6# (D), 1...Rf5!
1.Kd2? – 2.Rc4# (B), 1...Rxc5 (a) 2.Rd3# (A), 1...Se5 (b) 2.Qd5# (E), 1...Sa5!
1.Qxe7! – 2.Rd3# (A) / 2.Rc4# (B)
1...Rxc5 (a) 2.Qxh4# (F)
1...Se5 (b) 2.Qd6# (G)
1...Sxe7 2.Rxb4#
Zagoruiko (Z-32-26), Barnes, Dombrovskis effect (aA) – by absence (bB). This means practically only 2.5 themes instead of three. A good sacrificial key creates two thematic threats.

Special Commendation - No 4, Zoltan Labai (Slovakia) 1b5R/3B4/p7/1PPkp3/1PRp1Bp1/1K1p1NQ1/8/8

1.Bc6+? (A) Ke6!
1.Rxd4+? (B) exd4!
1.Bxe5? – 2.Rxd4# (A), 1...Bxe5 (b) 2.Qxe5# (C), 1...Ke4! (a)
1.Rh6? – 2.Bc6# (B), 1...Ke4! (a)
1.Re8? – 2.Bc6# (B), 1...Ke4 (a) 2.Rxd4# (A), 1...axb5!
1.Rh5! – 2.Rxd4# (A)
1...Ke4 (a) 2.Bc6# (B)
1...gxf3 (c) 2.Qxf3# (D)
To the themes of le Grand (AB), Dombrovskis (Aa!-Ba!/aA-aB) and radically altered moves (CD) – Urania was added (with unacceptable checking tries) by repeated thematic refutation, which is the only thematic variation at once in 4 + 2 phases. (Set: 1...Ke4 2.?)
