Final Award in Quick Composing TT-196 | Окончательные итоги блицконкурса TT-196

Change of motivation | Перемена мотивировок

Theme | Тема

4 entries were received from 4 authors representing 2 countries | На конкурс поступило 4 композиции от 4 авторов из 2 стран

EN <-> RU

Four (anonymous) entries only took part in this tourney; however, we can see the change of defensive motifs in a threemover for the first time in fairy chess. Additionally, the example in the announcement does not have any solution and shows the theme in refutations of the tries only. (Both subsections were therefore associated to following one section.)

The very first fairy threemover with an active cyclic change of three (anticipatory) defence motifs by the same threat: A – direct guard, B – pinnning, C – checking (with phenix theme), effectively in a zeroposition (and therefore special prize). Pity that all the motifs are orthodox.

Reciprocal change of fairy defence motifs: A – anticipatory indirect stopping white Pawn as threat-unit by creating hurdle for black Rookhopper, B – anticipatory direct stopping white Pawn as threat-unit by Nao. Suitable is the fairy condition Patrol chess, where a piece can capture or give check only if it is observed by a piece of its own side. From interesting fairy harmful effects results a change of two continuations. Very light construction thanks royal dummies. This composition would indicate a possibility of cyclic change.

A long threat with unpin. Active cyclic change of three (orthodox) defence motifs (by the same threat): A – pinning, B – creating flight by capture, C – checking.
Compare with A1 (see Appendix).
