= 1+4

Indicate the first move (1.S?) and the square occupied by the white king.
Condition: the white king is immobile (his remaining on the same square counts as a move), not reacting to checks in any way.
There is a square on which the white king cannot be mated under this condition. Please indicate it.
The black and white kings may not occupy adjacent squares.

solution/решение

Popov-Coakley 2016(after Loyd 1866)
1.bxa8=S

1. S:h1. Add king to b7.

Jeff Coakley observed that the addition of another white piece provides wider opportunities for creating more difficult puzzles. For example in case of a white bishop, rook, or queen on a8 it becomes possible to mate the white king on b7. But when there is a white knight on a8, there can be no mate to the white king on b7, just like in the absence of that knight. That is, if White has a pawn on a7 and he can make one move, then the pawn must be promoted to knight.
Here is the new version. Popov-Coakley 2016(after Loyd 1866)
Black: Kd5 Qa8 Bc1 pa2
Stipulation:
1. Place white king on the board, not in check.
2. Place another white piece on the board, not giving check.
3. Make one move with the white piece.
4. In the resulting position, the white king never moves.
5. It should now be impossible for Black to legally mate the white king with any series of moves, including help from the white piece.
Solution. Add White Kg7 pb7
1.bxa8=S
