Владимир Петрович Сычов.(1936-2021) Беларусь. Родился 15 января 1936 года, умер 20 сентября 2021 г. Мастер-строитель, жил в г. Минске. С 1958 года опубликовал более 450 задач разных жанров, более 190 отмечены на конкурсах, в том числе 53 приза, из них 29 первых. Многие включены в «Альбом ФИДЕ». Финалист пяти личных первенств СССР и командных чемпионатов мира. Неоднократный чемпион личных первенств Беларуси. Дважды чемпион СССР в командном зачете. Победитель всесоюзного турнира кандидатов в мастера в 1984 году. Мастер спорта СССР с 1984 года. Мастер ФИДЕ с 1995 года. Национальный судья с 1976 года и международный арбитр с 2001 года. С 1976 по 2002 год возглавлял комиссию по шахматной композиции при Федерации шахмат Беларуси. С 1979 проводил городские и республиканские соревнования по решению композиций. Принимал активное участие в организации и проведении личных и командных первенств Беларуси по составлению задач и этюдов, являлся судьёй многих престижных конкурсов и первенств разных стран. Вёл шахматные отделы в газетах и журналах. За свой многолетний труд награжден двумя грамотами Верховного Совета БССР, грамотами по месту работы, грамотами и дипломами Спорткомитетов СССР и Беларуси.

He took an active part in organizing and conducting personal and team championships in Belarus in composing problems and sketches, was a judge of many prestigious competitions and championships in different countries. Conducted chess departments in newspapers and magazines. For his many years of work, he was awarded two diplomas of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR, certificates at the place of work, certificates and diplomas of the Sports Committees of the USSR and Belarus.
